It's been a while since I logged on and did a blog update.
What can I say, life intervenes sometimes.
In any case, here is a quick update for anyone interested:
The third stand-along historical mystery/thriller in the Tyburn Folios, entitled Sorcerer Street is complete and currently being flung madly about to potential agents.
Here's a brief summary:
Someone is killing the sorcerers of London.
When a courtier turns up murdered in Lambeth, Kit Tyburn, ex-soldier turned play-actor and part-time intelligencer, is coerced into investigating. Freshly sprung from Newgate’s dank cells, Tyburn has other concerns – salvaging his relationship with Clair Carey, and re-joining his playing troupe, the Earl of Worcester’s Men.
But it’s hard to say no to Francis Walsingham.
As Tyburn delves into the arcane murder, he realizes that he is up against a deadly force that will stop at nothing. From the back-alleys and bear-pits of Southwark, to the diplomatic cat-and-mouse between France and Spain, Tyburn must hunt a dangerous pair of killers intent on harnessing a demonic power to threaten the throne itself. And the price he may pay, might be his very soul.
As an added bonus, Sorcerer Street was recently short-listed for the Historical Novel Society's 2024 First Chapter Competition, I hope to be uploading that first chapter for public available in the near future.
